Gus Nevros Catskill Series Fly Rod 7' 3/2 #4A nice Gus Nevros Catskill Series bamboo fly rod, 7', 3 piece, 2 tip, built for a #4 line. Serial number "EVW90". 3. 6 ounces. Lightly used condition. Medium dry fly action. This rod features blonde cane in a spiral node configuration. The wraps are brown main with orange and black edges fore and aft. Intermediates alternate between brown and maroon with 3" intermediates between the guides. Artificial stripping guide, snake guide, and small hoop tip
The rod remains in excellent+ original condition having been fished sparingly
along with Roy's signature and a personal narrative about the book on the inside cover
Down-locking reel seat
The rod bag is a replacement
A very early model fully ventilated on both the spool and side plates
and has the model and size stamp along with serial number R458 (made in 1925)
Both are in near mint unfished condition

Hard rubber side plates and nickel plated brass hardware
The cap and ring are oxidized with substantial wear to the oxidation
This one is RHW and has never seen daylight outside of its red case other than for photos
