Hardy Hollokona Hollowlight Fly Rod 8' 3/2 #5A nice Hardy Hollokona fly rod, "The Hollowlight" in 8' 3 piece, 2 tip construction and built for a #5 line. Medium slow action. Well done varnish overcoat with yellow wraps, black edges, and gold intermediates. Keeper 1 flat left. Chrome guides and tip tops. 3 up node pattern construction. Lettered "the Hollolight, #5" "Hollokona", and "Reg'd trademark" on the shaft. 5" cigar grip which may have been sanded. Cork seat with gold anodized aluminum ring

About the only issue exhibited in this rod are 2 tiny guide impressions in the cork near the base of the grip caused from pressing against the other sections

A handsome Warren Duncan tribute shadow box

It has a nice fast progressive action

and a neat little oiler are cradled in foam

This is also the first screw lock seat I hand-made on my small 7″ swing Pratt & Whitney lathe

the rod taper is a medium derivative of my dry fly action

with original pouch and paperwork

feeling quick fairly far up the rod but still with plenty of flex
