Hardy Ultralite 10000 Reel 10/11/12A Hardy Ultralite 10000 CA DD 10 11 12 fly reel, 5" diameter and set up for LHW. Gray large arbor design. It weighs 10. 5 ounces on my scale. Designed to hold a WF 10 and up to 240 yards of backing. The reel appears to be unfished. It packs into a black neoprene Hardy pouch.
Used but in excellent condition
It has a yellow 8 or 9wt line on it
The model was introduced in 1950 when Jim Payne developed a new set of faster dry fly tapers
The rod weighs 3 3/4 oz with all cork reel seat and cap and ring
All black at the female ferrules
The ferrules are Super-Z style 13/64 with a good fit
Shane is very well known for his superlative finishing skills and charges $800 for a new two-piece rod
A superb Bogdan Baby Trout reel
Black anodized throughout with the front plate ventilated along with the spool on that side
