Fall Leaves - Oregon - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionI grew up in Tucson Arizona, we had fall as a season of course but I really never saw trees with the kinds of big leaves that I do here in Oregon. I distinctly remember moving to Portland in the Spring and being stunned by the trees and beauty of the leaves. I was later surprised to find out folks had to pay to have the leaves hauled away by the city. Meanwhile I have been fascinated by them all these years, I have used them many times in my work. My

This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel carbon black and warm sepia ink

I decided on an edition of 10 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints

I can hardly wait and this picture reminds me of many of the reasons for wanting to visit

On the occasion that I am able to find a conversation among the elements and the audience I make prints

signed and dated by the artist

and sensual shape are one of my favorite still life objects

I made this picture one day when I was at home with my daughter Abigail who was in 1st grade at the time
