Forth Bridge, Scotland - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionIn 2009, I undertook a 3 week photographic commission in Scotland. I had freedom to travel around and make pictures of the landscape and castles. When I think about working in the land my overall feeling is busy. This is why I am drawn to quiet views, simple scenes that bring me comfort when I view the prints. I am revisiting the negatives from this trip, and like in this case printing some for the first time. The Forth rail bridge crosses the Firth

I've spent the last 30 winters in Portland Oregon wearing long underwear from October to March

I have never be a photographer who seeks out the iconic views of known places

I set these 2 feathers on the window sill and later made some pictures
