Abel Creek Series #1 Trout Reel [SALE PENDING]A nice Abel Creek Series #1 fly reel. 3 1 4" diameter, 3 4" spool width. Extended foot. Serial #A5914. Backing plus a #6 or #7 sinking line loaded on it. Owners name engraved on the back. A tiny bit of edgewear to bottom but good condition overall. Comes in an Abel pouch.
According to Hoagy he and Vince Marinaro worked on this and only 3 rods were ever made by Hoagy with this feature

Yellow poplin bag (no stiffener) brass top aluminum tube with proper Leonard sticker
The varnish on this rod is magnificent with no bag marks or other signs of wear
Wraps are brown with yellow edges treated with original orange shellac color preserver
Maroon bag
This rod also comes with an unusual brass top and collar (photo below) that I made while experimenting with a new style and design
though it finally seems that people are catching on and his prices going up
The cosmetics of these Winstons are right up there with Leonard and T&T rods
