Five - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionI made this negative years ago when I was working in another photographers studio for the day. I was there helping with a workshop session and during a break I made this negative with my 8x10 camera and some things I found in the space. Like myself this artist collected objects and kept them around, waiting for a strike of inspiration. At the time I made a platinum print of this negative that was later collected by The Portland Art Museum as part of

Wanting to see a printmaking studio I had read about we journeyed across town only to find it had closed and was no longer in operation

This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with  55981 Black

and an edition of 12 numbered prints and 2 A/P prints

and Madder red inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper

8 x 10 inches on an 15 x 20 sheet
