These reels were made in California in the late 1940's and similar in style and performance to the classic Hardy Perfect, (but considerably more scarce). This one is in excellent overall condition and shows few signs of having been fished. Medium chestnut colored oven tempered cane

The reel and spare spool come in the original leather drawstring pouch with the Robichaud logo faintly visible on one side

I could find no meaningful signs of use

Medium dark oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern

For sale here is a very fine cane rod from the bench of Luke Bannister -- 6'10" 3/2 4-5wt

Comes with its red and cream Hardy zippered case as well as its original box in fine condition

This rod and two others (a Para 15 made in 1950 by Paul and a Prosperity model) come directly from the Johnson family

some of which still clings to the varnish
