Anderson and Son Reel 4 1/4"A nice Anderson and Sons of Edinburgh salmon winch, 4 1 4" diameter with 1 3 4" spool width. All brass throughout with "R Anderson and Sons Princess St Edin" stamped opposite the wooden handle on the winding plate. The foot is straight and has been lightly dressed on one end. The reel is in excellent shape overall with normal cosmetic wear for its age but no major defects. Fixed click drag, and mechanically the reel turns but is slightly greasebound.

This is a once in two or three generations find as it appears to be the only specimen known

Bengt Engelbrekt from Sweden made the replacement reel foot and also switched the reel from right to left hand retrieve

All original parts and the rod is full-length and straight

landing something like 60 salmon on that rod
