Hardy St John Fly Reel [SALE PENDING]A nice Hardy St. John fly reel, 3 7 8" diameter and set up for RHW. An earlier three screw model Duplicated Mark II style check. Excellent lightly used condition with some minor cosmetic wear but nothing significant. Ribbed brass foot. Ebonite handle. Nice loud click and the tension adjuster works as it should. Nice tight spool. The reel packs into a brown suede zipper pouch.
The base has three holes to choose from to suit the tyer
Moderately flame tempered cane with amber wraps and honey tipping
The grip has been cleaned and there is some wear to the inner guides
The short cigar grip measures 4 3/4" with moderate soiling
For sale here is a spare spool for an Ari 't Hart F3 or S1 fly reel
this half bail arm reel was the personal property of Ernest Dingley
a perfect reel for the collector
The ferrules are swiss style with a collar and are oxidized
The Swiss-style ferrules are size 10/14/18 with a smooth
Saltwater resistant gold anodized finish
For sale here is a Hodge & Sons Classic fly reel for a 3 or 4 weight line
The rod is best in my opinion with a DT8 line and is in near mint original condition
