Sheep | The Dordogne - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionSheep My grandfather was a Basque sheepherder in Southern France before coming to America as a young adult. He continued the sheep business in Arizona the rest of his life. Seeing this small heard of sheep and especially hearing the bells they were wearing while walking around moved me. I found myself imagining Bernardo as a young man walking with the sheep. Hand pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel Noir 55981, Bistre, and Red ochre inks

The bare trees without leaves are so beautiful to me with their graphic quality and stark shapes

I have never be a photographer who seeks out the iconic views of known places
