Description
Hardy Flyweight Reel with Spare SpoolA nice Hardy Flyweight fly reel and spare spool in good used condition. Made in England. 2 1 2" diameter with capacity up to a DT4 with no backing or a WF3 with 50yds. Two screw latch plate and a single screw reversible nickel silver line guide. Currently set up for RHW but easily convertible. Smooth alloy foot. Both the reel and spare spool come in a black Hardy zippered case.
The cigar grip is 5 7/8" in length with only the slightest handling marks
This reel has the the seldom seen adjustable drag feature
#10 ferrule
7’6" for a 5 weight line
The reel is in very nice mechanical condition as a result of recently receiving a re-bushing from Bill Archuleta
This is largely undetectable and could almost certainly be taken out with a good polish
and red tipping
Great for small and medium sized streams where back casts may be restricted
Right or left hand retrieve (currently set up for left)
Strong smooth drag with a loud outgoing click
