Peerless Model 1 1/2 Reel

Peerless Model 1 1/2 ReelA nice Peerless 1 1 2 model trout reel, 2 7 8" in diameter. Set up for RHW. The reel weighs 4. 8 ounces on my scale. The reel foot has the tiniest mounting marks on one end, but I can find no signs of use on the rest of the reel. It may have been fitted to a rod but I don't think it was ever fished. Adjustable drag. Silver anodized frame with black anodized sideplates. The reel packs into an embossed leather Peerless pouch with the Peerless logo

and built for what feels to me like a #3

The rod features darkly tempered cane with transparent caramel wraps and bright guides

The tips do have slight sets in them

III fly reel

A very pleasing package from a quality maker whose rods are hard to come by

For sale here we have a vintage Hardy Perfect 3 5/8" fly reel and spare spool

There are no de-laminations and no invisible wraps on the rod
