Homer Jennings Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #3A nice Homer Jennings bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #3 line. The rod weighs 3. 4 ounces on my scale. The serial number #620, the maker's mark, and the rod specs are all inked on the butt, and on an adjacent flat "16. 07. 06" is also inked which I presume to be the date of manufacture. The rod may have been lawn cast but is in pristine condition. Nice dry fly action. There is a tiny bit of brassing to the edge of the buttcap but

The downlocking screw lock reel seat spacer appears to be fossilized horn

Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a beautiful mortised buffalo horn spacer

The reel and spare spool are packed in the original padded green pouch

Adjustable click and pawl check

The reel is in excellent used condition and the spare spool is mint

The rod is fitted with oxidized step ferrules and comes with a nickel silver and cork ferrule plug
